Recent Commissions

Wedding gift

This engagement painting was commissioned by a friend of the bride and groom.

Selfie-inspired special moment

For this commission, I was given a specific photo to recreate in my style on a new background. Because of the casual selfie-style of the photo the angled bricks were a fun choice.

Gift from mother of the groom

For this commission, I was asked to recreate a reference photo as a painting. 18″ x 24″ gallery wrapped canvas, wired and ready to hang.

Anniversary gift

This couple decided to get a wedding painting for their 14th anniversary. I had several reference photos from their 2007 wedding.

A romantic keepsake

For this commission, I had a dozen photos and free reign to recreate a moment from this couple’s special day.

Large painting for master bedroom (24″ x 36″)

This couple finally turned their favourite wedding photo into a large painting for their master bedroom.

How to commission your keepsake painting

Step 1. Fill out the form below to get started. Then, you and Laura meet over Zoom to discuss your vision for the painting.

Step 2. You’ll review and sign the contract, send a 50% deposit, and your reference photos to Laura.

Step 3. You’ll be invited to submit feedback when the first layer of the painting is complete. This is your chance to make changes to the layout or proportions of the painting.

Step 4. Laura will respond to your feedback and continue painting to the rough detail stage.

Step 5. You’ll get a second chance to offer feedback. This time, you’ll submit any requests for small changes to details.

Step 6. Laura will respond to your feedback and complete the painting.

Step 7. You’ll get a photo of the completed painting. You’ll respond with confirmation that the painting is complete and ready for varnishing. (As per the contract, any changes requested at this point are charged out at an hourly rate.)

Step 8. As soon as Laura receives your confirmation she’ll do a little happy dance (she loves it when her paintings bring joy). And, then she’ll get right to work varnishing your painting. This increases the longevity of your painting, so you can enjoy it for years to come.

Step 9. Once the varnish is fully dry, Laura wires your painting and prepares it for shipping. It will soon be in your home!

Step 10. Your painting arrives! You carefully unwrap it, and place it in its new home.

Every time you walk by the painting, you’ll glance at the painting and relive a cherished memory.
